STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) has become one of the most important educational focuses in our modern world, and it is a huge part of an Austin Public Schools education. From IJ Holton, our STEM oriented Intermediate School, to a strong focus on technology in the classroom and strategic partnerships with community organizations, APS is dedicated to providing students the opportunity to work with and develop their skills in both science and technology through:

Here at Austin Public Schools, physical activity plays a big part in the student experience. From Boost Up at Woodson to MSHSL sports at the High School, APS offers a wide range of athletic opportunities for students beyond basic physical education courses.

• Brain Breaks, Boost-Up, and Mileage Club, all of which encourage physical activity as a means of increasing student focus
• Intra-mural athletics at IJ Holton
• Over 25 different sports beginning at Ellis and carrying through AHS, including Football, Soccer, Hockey, Basketball, and both Baseball and Softball
